We had a few family trips to Whitley Farms, and Mr. T and I had a couple Mommy and Me trips. The picture above is from the day after a complete gully washer. The puddles were 4 to 5 inches deep and I was “prepared” with rain boots. Thankfully there was also a beach towel in the car, since stomping just wasn’t enough. Mr. T discovered that he could jump up, throw his feet out in front of him and make a HUGE splash. I was not prepared with extra clothes, but we hadn’t really planned to go anywhere else. He had the biggest time and played in the puddles and picked blueberries and we went down to see the cows and he even had a honey stick.
I love my days of playtime. They remind me that God looks at me the way I look at my son. With love, and an overwhelming desire for true joy and with delight. I pray that every day, I can be a godly parent and love my child the way He loves me.
